Twitter is a real-time microblogging platform. Users post short sentences about what they are thinking and doing. The Twitter service has become quite popular. We here about Twitter every night on the TV news. Many celebrities and top web sites and most local news programs post to Twitter accounts, sometimes on an hourly basis.
